Bible Look-up Password – changed daily

Bible Look-up Password - changed daily

Much to the chagrin of my 13-year-old, I’ve been changing the password every day, requiring my sons to have to look-up Bible verses to figure out the password. Just trying to get them to actually open up the Bible some.

I’ve also changed the password to things having to do with reminding them of chores they need to do, such as:

Hint: What I need you to cut
Password: grass

Anyhow, the other day I emailed Nicole and asked her if the boys were able to figure out the password. Check out this awesome conversation. 🙂

Clark, “dad changed the password — again! It’s love. From the Bible”
Nicole, “oh! did you have to look up the verse to figure it out?”
Clark, “No, we couldn’t–we used a Bible.”
Nicole, “huh?”
Clark, “we couldn’t look it up, ’cause we didn’t have the password yet to get on-line.”
Nicole, “OH! Well, to ‘look it up’ is something we did before computers– we had to ‘look it up’ in these things called ‘books’ — so, yeah, that’s what I meant–did you look the verses up in the Bible?”
Clark, “oh, yeah.”

Nicole to me: “So, really great that you are making them ‘look it up’ in something other than the computer! Love!”

Just trying to find creative ways to train up our children in the way they should go. (Proverbs 22:6)
